The DISHA Foundation promotes safe, equitable, and inclusive workplaces while empowering women, farmers, and youth to build sustainable livelihoods and resilient communities across South India.

Founded in 2025, The DISHA Foundation channels over 16 years of hands-on development experience into grassroots action. With a proven history of designing and implementing worker wellbeing and women empowerment programs for leading global brands, we are dedicated to uplifting workers, women, and youth in the apparel sector and wider community, fostering environments where they can thrive. Our Leadership & Immediate Impact- Guided by the vision of Mr. Sathish K. N., who has previously spearheaded worker wellbeing initiatives for leading global brands, our foundation has hit the ground running. In a short time, we have already directly impacted over 350 workers and 100 youth in southern states of India through: Capacity Building and leadership training, Policy & System Strengthening within workplaces, Empowerment Initiatives focused on life skills, health, and hygiene awareness. Our Vision for the Future - While our current operations are focused in South India, our aim is to extend our proven model of development to every state in India. We continue to work tirelessly to advance worker wellbeing, women and youth empowerment, and community development, building a nation where social equity and enhanced livelihoods are a reality for all.

Women Career Enhancement Program – Ongoing Initiative

The DISHA Foundation has initiated a Women Career Enhancement Program across factories in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, focusing on career growth and leadership development among women workers in the apparel sector. The program is currently in its initial phase and aims to empower women to take on greater roles and responsibilities, contributing to a more inclusive and equitable workplace environment.

Capacity Building Program for Workers in Collaboration with Shell Apparel Pvt. Ltd.

The DISHA Foundation, in collaboration with Shell Apparel Pvt. Ltd., has launched a Capacity Building Program focused on enhancing workers’ life skills. The training aims to empower women with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to manage their personal and professional lives more effectively. The program, which began in September 2025, has so far reached 350 workers and continues to expand its reach to more participants. Key training topics include communication, stress and time management, gender equality, health and hygiene, nutrition, financial literacy, workplace safety, and quality awareness. The sessions also emphasize practical application and action planning, helping participants translate their learning into meaningful workplace and personal improvements. Through these interactive and participatory trainings, workers are becoming better equipped to balance their personal and professional responsibilities, strengthen teamwork, and contribute to a safer, more inclusive, and productive workplace.
